Question Who know how to tune EU in so.cal?

I haven't found a great shop that shows they know WTF they're doin while tunining. I haven't actually trusted anyone doing a great job of tuning around here but the time is coming soon. I'm going to be upping the boost to 8psi, running a fuel return, boost controller, test pipes and need it tuned with timing pulled, etc. My first experience was with Church and he tuned it way too lean. It was detonating like crazy right after they finished tuning. I called up brainstorm and they're telling me that a tune with the EU will be useless kuz the stock ecu will erase the tune.....which is bullsh!t. Brainstorm says they can do it but I'm skeptical because they do a lot of Unichip stuff and don't really know if they've ever touched the EU. Long story short, I needa good shop that knows WTF they're doing when tuning. Any help would be appreciated.

Dude, Street Image doesnt have a dyno, and they dont tune cars. EU is a very user friendly interface. I have spoken NUMEROUS times with Sam at GT Motorsports. He knows his ****, but isnt cheap. Give him a call tell him George reffered you. You will be very happy with the way your car turns out after he tunes it!

I agree with SP being probably the best but they do charge a whole lot. At least 750 to get it tuned. I'm not sure about GT...everytime I talk to them they always try to tell me the EU sucks and UTEC is better, etc. and that they 'can' tune the EU 'if i really wanted to'. Anyone have any good experience at Dynamic Autosports in Lake forest? JMC, are you getting an EU tuned or wat? Let me know who you go with and how it comes out please!

XBS, is that where you got ur EU tuned?????

I had my last one tuned at Church. He knows his stuff too. I would recommend him and as far as I know he is cheaper than SP!!!

I have had my entire car done by GT Motorsports. Sam is really knowledgeable when it comes to tuning the VQ motor. Go visit him....and check on my car while you're there! He's doing more work to it!

Is there a number I can reach "Sam" at? I talked to Nick at GT but he hates the EU and is trying to convince me to go with the UTEC or Vpro (which are both great units but is it really worth it?)
I really need help deciding what to do (go EU or go UTEC or VPRO)
My goal is basic 400rwhp with 8 psi.
Thanks!

for that power level the EU is fine
it will be even better once they release the update this summer for target timing input so it will be like a standalone computer, really awesome.

Anyways Im going to be making much more power and higher boost and going to use an EU

I was GT Motorsports today to drop off some stuff for the my car and Sam has a 350 with Greddy TT kit and EU in line to be tuned. Trust me, this guy knows his stuff. Stop by their shop one day and check it out. It is very impressive.

Was it a 2-tone black and Silverstone Z? That one is mines I think. He has already staretd to try to get me to change the Basic E-management that came with the kit not the Ultimate just teh regular e-manage but I have been reluctant to since i cant understand why other are fine with this one on stock boost and I wouldnt be. He is still working on the car so hopefully he can get it out of it being lean with it. i would hate to have to buy a new one right now.

Other than that He seems extremely cool and a great guy.

by the way I think i did see your car there the black Z right? Its awesome.

The Blue Emanage is a POS and cant control our motors very well. if you can afford it atleast get an EU. should cost about 600 bucks but it is FAR safer and more reliable than the blue emanage

Well I talked to Sam today earlier but he hasn't called me back. He told me either the EU or UTEC would be fine for 400rwhp. So im obviously going the cheaper route. I hope he calls me back with the prices kuz I wanna get this thing dropped off this coming thursday.
