i am currently building a fortified 3sgte block and a 3sge head, that will be ported and polished. hopefully it will hold anything i intend to throw at it.

Nice AE86!!
If you don't mind me askin': who did the paint? It looks real clean.
Also, did you do all the work yourself? And if not, which shops did you get help from?
The reason I'm askin' is because I'm interested in restoring either a 1985 Celica GT-S convertible or a 1990 Alltrac Celica Turbo (GT-Four; ST185).
Thanks.

Cool. PJ does great work. I was entertaining the thought of going to MOB in Orange because it's a bit closer but after thinking about it; I feel that PJ would probably give it more TLC since he's a Toyotahead.
As for the mechanical/tuning aspect, I was thinking of Toysport but everyone tells me they take absolutely forever.
I'll check out Danstoy.
Thanks.

I have a 1990 ST185 shell (needs motor, turbo, trans) that I wanna bring back to glory. I'm currently sourcing parts (CS rally bumper and hood, ST205 motor/trans, Euro OEM clear corners, etc.)
Additionally, my aunt has a low mile (practically immaculate 1985 Celica GT-S convertible with perfect gray leather interior) that I've been thinking of building into a stock-looking sleeper (motor swap w/twin turbos) that I can cruise in the Summer. I've been told that depending on the offset, it'll accept really wide wheels in the rear. So I'm thinking of having it sprayed Lexus midnight blue (keep the body stock) and lower it w/custom coilovers and old school SSR EX-C deep dish mesh or fin wheels. Apparently 15" X 9.5" or 16" X 9.5" will fit in the rear without any rubbing.
Wish me luck. I'm pleasantly surprised to know that there are people on this board that really appreciate old school Toyotas. It would be cool if we all met up one day to talk about our Z33's and Toyotas.
Have a great weekend!
