Here's the layout...

This track is very fun for everyone. It's not too fast and no concrete so if you off you'll most likely end up in the dirt and your car will only sustain minimal damage if any.

Also, BRING SPARE PARTS! There's no Nissan parts department around there! LOL And a word of advice ... Try like hell to trailer your car. I would suggest Uhaul.

Mike:
Are you going to post this link up on FreshAlloy (Infiniti and 350Z sections)and G35Driver, and perhaps some other enthusiast forums also? I think that some of the Team Transport fellas in the racing subgroup will come, like Zaza and Clint and perhaps a couple of others, if we let them know.

Count on a good 6 hour drive from the Phoenix area. You'll want to go up the previous night, stay in either North Las Vegas or Pahrump, and get a good night's sleep. Trust me.

We can caravan if you want.

This is one of the most fun tracks that I have ever driven. You'll love it. Worth the drive.

Mike B. (350ZNV), which configuration did we drive on the Saturday before the Redline Time Attack there, wasn't that the 3.1 layout? What a blast. That's the only layout there that I have ever driven, but it flowed so well. One of my favorite tracks.

I am going to contact my friends at Enkei Racing and Nitto Tire and see if they would have an interest in making an appearance or possibly a sponsorship. It is going to be busy at SEMA and they may just be tearing their hair out to get ready....or it might make a lot of sense to stop off along the way! You never know.

I have an idea to just toss out there, and it could help to defray the cost a bit. Set aside one run session, for $50...a fair allocation, to allow for a "ducks in a row" session for all Z and G drivers that have no present intention to "track" their car, to nevertheless go out and snake around, SAFELY, to experience a track. It could certainly boost the attendance overall at the event, as well as the income to defray costs. Might also help with sponsors etc. Above all that, it makes it a heck of a lot more FUN for the non track folks. No helmets required if speeds are controlled and kept down by the lead car? Need to check all that out.

Steve, you drove the 3.1 I believe. If it had "The Drop" it was the 3.1, if your times were close to the 2:00.000 range then you were on the 2.2.

Ed - You have some great ideas! So I am officially going to say that we are going to try and make this huge so mark your calenders!

He is already working with sponsors for his event and hopefully he can carry them on to this event. If they do want to do that, then it takes this event to a whole new level. We will have event sponsors, and a ton more cars. If this is the case, the event will be strutured differently. I will then put the deposit on the track myself to make sure we have that day reserved. Ambulance, corner workers, towing, optional timing, etc will be happening and then we will divide the total price up, minus the money from the sponsors, and that will be the entry fee.

For now, we will continue as planned, but I have a feeling this is going to get HUGE
Mike. PM me. I will help with the deposit. Ask about configuration prices and when we have to decide.

Thanks Ed! I emailed the track today so when I get a reply I will update you on how much the deposit is and when we need to make it. Talk to you soon!

Definitely had the drop... that was awesome! I ran a 2:52 flat with my street tires, and of course, as you recall, a slick track due to the repaving. Not super fast, but that was also before my second round mods of camber arms, headers, cams, lightweight clutch/flywheel and pulley, etc. Only had big front brakes, sways, shocks/springs and intake/exhaust.

If I had to vote, I would definitely vote for that configuration.

Ed, you DO have some great ideas! This will be a great 350Z/G35 event!

I would love to do the 3.1 as well. It all depends on how many people and event sponsors we get.

It would be great to get some event sponsors too!

Even if I had to pay extra to get the 3.1 config, I think it would be worth it. That config really rewards smooth, smart driving. A lot of technical but flowing corners. There is just nothing else like it in the southwest.

Nice, sounds like we are getting somewhere with this. I will try and get more people interested, are we keeping this 350 and G only right now?

I think we can get enough Z & G owners by then for sure. Would be nice not to mix things up too much. Really gives everyone an opportunity, especially new owners, to see a wide variety of options for their cars without the confusion of additional platforms.
