I am unaware of a e-mail list notification for So. Cal runs. It would require someone taking the time to email everyone on the contact list who wants notification of an upcoming event. Someone would have to volunteer to do this.

 

Ok, so I was running short on time today, so I didn't do the entire run, I just drove up PCH to see if there was someplace we could re-group after finishing latigo. The only place I found with enough parking was a Hows about 5-6 miles past latigo canyon up PCH, and then neptune's net is another 6-7 miles past that. Another possibility for a place to re-group though is just a little further up from Hows on the left side are these gravel patches off the side of the road. They are pretty big, and there weren't many cars in them, so that might be a good place for a photo op. Right by the water. Could be cool. The only problem is, the chances of us all getting our cars back onto the PCH in one line from that side of the road are slim to none. The hows is on the right side of the road, so it's more likely that we'll all be able to get back onto PCH together, but we still might get a little seperated.

Another option is to just forget re-grouping after latigo, and just meet back up at Neptune's. Also, parking might be real hairy at Neptune's. It looked pretty much exactly like the picture earlier in the thread. Lots of motorcycles, and lots of cars. Not to mention the place looked absolutely jammed.

So anyway, that's the report. I guess we can talk about what we want to do when we meet up tomorrow.

hey guys, i've been trying to think optimistically since tuesday. on tuesday i got one of the worst cases of the flu i've ever had. it really sucked because my finals were on tuesday and thursday(also the reason that i knew i could make it; because now i'm on spring break). since tuesday my fever hasn't gone down, it's stayed consistently high. i'm not sure how i'm going to feel tomorrow, but i'm pretty sure 95% that i won't be able to make it. oh well, there'll be other meets. have fun, and drive safe

What channel and interference code are we using for the FRS radios?

 

I may possibly have to sit out as well. Somehow I managed to pull something in my neck, its badly sprained and HURTS! I'm having a hard time turning it side to side so a canyon run wouldn't really be very comfortable.

I'm gonna set my alarm anyway in case it magically heals by morning.

I even detailed my Z for this meet and put the nosemask on.

Well I checked out the first couple miles of Latigo Canyon yesterday. It's simply amazing. Hope you sick dudes are better and ready to go. Otherwise, take it easy and have some soup.
