I'm ready to tint my car. I need referrals to a reputable tint shop. I'm willing to drive up to 30 miles around the area (basicly anywhere in LA!), but the closer to Burbank the better. Tinting is for my white g35c. Max I'm willing to spend is $200. Please help if you can, thanks!

No, they left the door panels on. They do a premo job, 15+ years experience for high end cars. I bet you can get the same $115.00 deal. It may be slightly more for a G35C as more film would be needed.

Oh also, how long did it take to tint and what film, % did you use? I'm clueless when it comes to these things! :P

 

I have it somewhere but not handy. I'm certain they're listed on 411. They are on Ventura Blvd. in the city of Woodland Hills. If you have difficulty, PM me and I will get you their number.

It took about 1 hour. I used Natural Smoke, 35% sides, 20% rear (it's in my sig). Just don't roll down your windows for one day.

Guys, I get my car washed there almost every week. $150.00 for 10 hand washes. If either you or ZxSaint want to meet there on a weekend when I'm doing a wash, I will tell them that I referred you to them and will try to help you get the $115.00 deal that I got.

you didn't have the grease streak problem, did you? i'm just wondering if i should wait until it's fixed before i tint it.

 

I have a slight grease problem. I don't believe it will matter whether you have a tint if you're planning on fixing the problem.

 

Try The Tint shop on Parthenia between reseda and wilbur. Me and another car got ours done there. didn't know we went to same place til afterwards. anyhow, this guy is cool. may not have the absolute best price but he does a stellar job. His name is david.

He takes the door panels off and tints the windows down past where you can see it. He also tints to very top of the window. Some cheap tint places only do what you can see when the window is closed. I got the 3m tint stuff. guaranteed not to turn purple, fade or crack. if it does, bring it back. Paid about $160. If you are **** about them taking a part your door, don't be cause it just goes right back the way it was, and unless they do take apart your door, they can't tint the window where it is in your door, then the tint is more likely to peel off cause it rubs everytime you open your window.

 

Anyone know about Tint Plus in Laguna Hills? I'm heading down to Huntington Beach tomorrow to look at some apartments, and I figured I'd check them out. Also, it sounds like the price range should be about $120-180. Are we talking about different grades of tint, or is this all the entry-level stuff or all the premo stuff or what?

Like I said, I'm gonna check out tint plus tomorrow, but if they can sell me, I'll get it done that day.

There also is charcool tint and some other stuff that exists. I have not heard anything bad about the 3m stuff. other tints have a little brown in them. some have a little green in them. You just have to see them in person.

Hey, i'm still interested in this (breakfast, tint/wash) if you are free. However, weather.com says that saturday and tuesday are going to be rainy. so if you don't want to wash your car any time soon, don't worry about it - I'm not in any big hurry to get this done (I can't do it until I'm back in town on the 13th or so).

I will do the canyon route - is it far? the only reason i ask is b/c I'm leaving on Sunday night and have to get stuff done during the day.
