I don't post there anymore, but I use to be really into car audio. Things may have changed, but those guys had all the high end stuff and many were from socal. Haven't demoed the rainbows, but I remember listening to a couple different lotus components at one of their meets.

I haven't heard about the Germaniums, so I searched them and your post came up.
