To avoid the freeways (mostly)
* Take Jamboree all the way north
* Santiago Canyon (L)
* Cannon (R)
* Serano (R)
* Weir Canyon (L)
* get on the 91 East (R)
Then it's only about 4-5 miles on the 91 parking lot until you hit the 71. That's my route home (minus the 91 part) and it moves very nicely. From the Spectrum to Weir it's about 40 mins.

I know for sure that the 91 will be a parking lot. If you're coming from Irvine and would like to take the 57 freeway here is the directions with a shortcut...
take 57 North
-Exit Lambert and make a RIGHT.
-Go all the way down until you hit the canyon.
-Drive through the entire way of Carbon Canyon.
-RIght on Chino Hills Parkway
-Left on Peyton
-Right on Grand...
Then Henry's and Chilis should be on your left side.
Here is an overview map of how you would save time with this route

In red is the 91 freeway and Green is the route/direction i've mentioned above. Being on the 91 heading eastbound will definately have some heavy traffic. If you take notice of the green highlight (Carbon Canyon) right above the 91 east freeway, it's about the same distance. Carbon canyon will have a nice steady flow all the way up to Chino Hills Pkwy.
Hope this helps
