Rant: I drive 50 miles of freeway Monday through Friday, and I see quite a few Z's on the road. I've owned this car for over a year now and I've given a peace sign or thumbs up to every Z I've seen, but I can count the return acknowledgements on 2 hands. I've twice had someone speed to catch up to me..I flash the peace sign out my back window, he passes...I give the thumbs up...I pull in behind...and give the finger. NOTHING!! New Z MANIA driving rule in effect 7/13/2006. I will not acknowledge any stock Z's on the road. If you wave to me, I'll wave back. If the Z sited has even aftermarket wheels I will attempt to say hey. EVERY Z that has returned a thumb's up has been modified, and I think we are just more aware of other Z's than the morons living in the rich areas that I drive through. End rant.

 

I couldnt agree with you more.. I remember being stucked in traffic and I happened to be next to a old lady in her Z: gave her the thumbs up and she rolls up her window..

I see maybe 5 different 350z a day. I don't even bother unless I reconize them, there's just to many rich A holes (women and old people included) on the road and they don't have any sense of ownership pride at all.
If you see me throw a thumbs up or the finger, I'll do the same back.

 

dude, now you're on the right track.. Majority of the stocks Zs are not important! LOL. I don't recognize them at all, unless they go out of there way to 'thumb up'

Yeah? Try working in Irvine with where everyone and your moms has a Z/G. I really dont wave, give the thumbs up, or give the middle finger unless they are modded. The chances of acknowledgement from those Z's that are stock are next to NIL. So I just drive my Z pig around aloof until I see a modded Z and flash my highs or give them my hazards.

 

awww. wave to an asian kid in a black track Z. i'm not modded except blacked out reverse lights and an s2000 antenna.

 

Yep, I only acknowledge the modified ones for that reason.

Actually I saw a black Z with full nismo body kit (Version 1) being towed on a flat bed on my way to lunch in the Newport Beach Area.... I decided to give the tow truck driver a middle finger.

 

Did it have bronze Nismo Wheels? If so, that's one of the good guys. When I saw him, he got off at Euclid. Nice guy.

I totally agree with this. Well if you see me then I will always wave, I try to get the attention of the older Z owners, but I think they look at my car and don't want to look cause of the mods.....oh well, I go on my way, but I have spoken with many people because of my Z.
If I see any of you, you can be sure I will recognize you!

 

Spotted each other on the 405N, and both got off at Euclid. Side by side at the next light we both complimented each other's identical kits. His black with bronze Nismo, mine red with silver Nismo's.

 

After smiling and waving at stock Z's an G's for the past 2 weeks and getting ZERO responses, I'm only acknowleding non-stockers now. But even that isn't working out too well.

In fact, I don't think I've gotten a Z wave in a month.

The last wave I got was from an EVO who noticed I was checking out his car.
