Default Quiet nite so I went for a drive...

There wasn't much going on, so I headed out to Rancho Palos Verdes, to run from downtown Long Beach, around Palos Verdes, and then out to Redondo Beach, and then I headed up to Manhattan Beach and back down the 405 to LBC. But honestly, the drive kinda sucked. The road condition was HORRIBLE, I saw about 6 cops - about 1 every other mile. Also, it was very crowded, and not even that challenging to drive. So my question is: WHERE ARE THE DRIVES?!?! I mean, I know I get hosed out here in LB, but there have to be places within a 15-20 minute drive from the LB traffic circle. Where are they at? Please, any help would be appreciated - I'm DYING here.

Anyways, I did see another Z on my drive - a chrome silver on PCH by Manhattan Beach about 10:30 pm, just wondering if one of you is it.

Take it easy.

Hey Dave:
Saw you this Friday about 3:30PM heading south on PCH just before Anaheim street. I was heading north at the time...
I was heading back from Magnaflow Exhaust...but that's another story...

I thought that was you! I didn't notice the rims until I was passing by, but always good to see fellow members in my neck of the woods.

So hows the ever-lasting buildup going? You piqued my interest with the magnaflow comment... Do tell.

Magnaflow used my Z to prototype a new exhaust syetm.
I got to drive around in a Cavalier for a week while they fabbed the system. Now I know why I hate GM,,,what a POS!

Anyway, they dyno'd the Z, and all I can say is, it had more rwh than I thought it would, being an auto. I can't post anything until Magnaflow ok's it, but I can say that the exhaust is a cat back system, looks as stock as can be, and did gain some HP. The number is greater than 1 HP, and less than 20HP!
As soon as Magnaflow gives me permission, I will post the numbers and price of the system.

Jeff, you the man!

I love it, most honest post about performance improvements yet...

Any word on price? I know you can't post performance numbers, but lets talk dollar signs... He he... Anyways, keep us in the loop!

Is the exaust layout the same for the G & the Z? I thought there was a difference in the piping for the G. Thats why there's 7 less HP.

your correct longer piping
but the sound is almost the same
if you didnt own one or the other you wouldnt be able to tell the difference
im just curious because id wager most will make exhausts for both
right now im between HKS and nismo
