ryan, sell me your headlights??? Mine are in brand new condition as i've clear bra'd them since i've had it, but i want the new headlights. That would be sweet man. What do ya say? Remember Eagle Canyon
You walk in and negotiate your deal for the car ... get your final price in writing. Do not tell them of your trade beforehand.
When you have a price you like, bring the car in for evaluation ... let them appraise it, if the money is right .. you trade cars right there on the spot, done and done.
I did this on my Xterra .. I got a little over $20k on an early 03 track w/ 54k .. I was happy

Easy, I will work you a $500 over invoice deal on a CRV and see if we can get your Z paid off
If you put money down then you should break even --- an 06 will depreciate about 10-15% in its first year so mileage will be important
I dont mind hooking board members up (I have sold many Si Hondas at sticker price when others are charging 2-7K over sticker)
In excellent condition my Track 06 with 2600 miles is worth $27,700 for trade in value --- private party value is $30,205
Window is like 36K so 10% is 3600 and 15% is $4900 if you base this off of a 32150 invoice youll see why the values make sense for my car --- this is KBB too --- I paid 32,900 for the car (not a bad deal, not a super deal either)
Remember dealers put the cars through inspection, replace some things and detail the car (among other things) so they dont pay out as much as a private party
The hard part about trading in an 06 is that you paid 10% in taxes (which you wont get back) and you take a depreciation hit the same year (at least 10% if your lucky and more like 15%) so trying to sell it at this point means you take a pretty hefty hit ---- but if you put some money down you could break even or not have to roll over too much onto your new car
Either route you take I will honor the CRV deal --- let me know what color and model and I can see if we have one (even if we dont I will get it for you
)
