Default Any hook-up on cell phones?

My g/f has T-Mobile w/ 1-year left on her 2 year contract. If she extends another 2-years, she can get the Motorola RAZR V3 phone for $49.99 from T-Mobile, which binds her to a 3-year contract. Just curious does anyone have any better hook-ups? She doesn't want to extend her contract so she's planning to pay $250+ for the new phone. I remember those places in Alhambra and Monterey Park that could get you unlocked phones for super cheap. Any info?

Double check with your provider. I believe federal law limits cell phone companies to a 2 year max. Even if you have one year to go and do a new two year renewal, it still only lasts two years total. Check with T-Mobile to verify.

Buy your phone unlocked and go pre paid. No contract and very good rates out there.

My girl works for Cingular so I dont know how much she can help you --- but if yo uwant a Razor for cheap she may be able to hook up on that end

Many times she gets cell phones for free as prizes/gifts from corporate and they sell them on Ebay to cash them out

Point being buying a Razor on Ebay from one of them is much cheaper than retail --- usaully 100-150 off retail on a 250 phone

PM me if your interested and I can give you her work number --- she is a customer service rep and she doesnt make commission on phones or contracts

I got my Razor for free --- I will eventually get a black berry in a few months so most likely I will sell my phone to cash it out --- so Ebay may work too for you to save some cash if you find a guy selling it for $100 (maybe less??) or something --- just be careful they are reputable people --- tough on EBay
