I think I'm going to sign up next week - I'm gonna try for Saturday mid-day (probably the 11:20 reg time). This looks like a sweet deal - especially considering you get to tool around in someone else's car!

That was my thought.. it's not my car. I already have issues when going from my 350z to driving my camaro so it might be fun.

 

Im going 4/12 at 7am. 39$ for track instruction and the chance to beat up someone elses car sounds good to me.

 

I signed up for 4/12/03, group 21... that's the one where they meet at 11:40am. I thought it'd be a good time since we can meet to have brunch before we go or something.

 

I've done it twice with BMW and once with Saab for free, but thinking it would be fun to get a big group of Z folks at the atlanta one, even if they are charging! who else is in?

 

Atlanta one? You know this thread is in the Southern California forum right?

 

Some of the S2000 guys, are heading out on Sat. Group 4. at 8 in the morning. Hope to see you guys there.

Just heard a rumor that all the track cars are AUTO trannys ... is this true? that kinda blizows of its true.

 

It's not a rumor. It's stated on the website that the cars are AUTO...

 

Yeah. It's not that bad. For 39.00 you get to trash their car! It's worth it.

I went. It was fun. Saw a few Z's in the parking lot when I arrived around 8:30. It was pretty much all morning mazda/falken ad. I drove like sh*t...but I have issues driving my camaro after driving my z...so I expected the mazda 6 to not be any better on my 350z trained brain. 411 pts in the novice class..nothing to write home about..but I didn't hurt any cones.

Wondering who else is going to the El Toro event this Saturday. If anyone wants to meet up before/duirng/after, please post of PM me. I signed up for the Group 4 session (Meets @ 7:40 A.M., Track time is @ 9:00 & 10:20). Let's see if that rev limiter on those Mazdas really works. Afterwards, We could go for drinks or whatever.

I signed up for saturday 17b in atlanta on the 16th I'll be heading down there with a couple peeps from the s2ki.com forum.

 

I just signed up. Will try to represent 350Z drivers proud! i wonder if i should sell the mazda 6 when i win it. lol. jk
