not an m3 but this was my experience with an s2k. the other day i was driving in torrance heading west down 190th st. i was getting into the left turn lane when all of a sudden, i hear a pretty mean sounding exhaust. i look in my mirror and see a yellow s2k coming up on me. so i down shift and we both take the left turn onto crenshaw pretty hard. then we both slowed and he was revving on me hard. i wasn't going to take this so i pointed forward and he took off. i downshifted into 2nd and just pulled away from him and let go after about 5 car lengths. twe came up to a light and he wouldn't pull to to me. stayed back. after two lights he made a right. that was my first "street race." pretty happy with the outcome. that's what you get driving like an a$$ i guess.

I was neck and neck with a Z4 from a roll to 40 mph, a less robust m3 engine. I also played with a vert M3 and beat him on a big sweeping arc.

Since he will barely break it in I think it will be a close one or he will win by a bumper or two.

So, the run is going to go down soon. We both work in Burbank at the wells fargo off Burbank blvd. and San Fernando Rd., and we all know how the cops are in the area. It's gonna be a freeway run, early morning, like 5am or so, on the 5 freeway, against 3 cars, the M3, a Trans AM, and myself. Should be fun, most likely not this sunday, but the following.

I'd say Touge run, cause I know I'd win, but I don't think he'd be down. So I believe he wants straight line. So should I race him from 0-60, 65 mph roll on freeway, 0-100?
What do you mean, you only have a Kinetix V+ Manifold & JWT Popcharger as go?
Your sig says :JWT Pop-Charger/Cusco Zero-2 Coilovers/NRG 4-point harness/AIT CF Hood/VIS CF Bumper/AIT CF Doors/Stillen Type 1 wing/Volk GT-C's 18x8 and 18x10/Falken GRB 452's 245/40/18 front and 285/35/18 rear/Base Coupe with Viscous LSD/Endless brake pads/Rotora Slotted Rotors/Kinetix V+ Plenum/JIC Spartan DE Type 1 single exhaust/JIC Y-Pipe/ OEM HID conversion/ JWT Light Flywheel/ JWT Stage 2 clutch/ Crawford Hi-Flo cats/ Technosquare reflash.

I think you should try the 0-60 and 0-100, and a roll for comparison.

ah crap, this thread is from last September. So, how did it go anyways, and probably the parts I highlighted were installed after the fact.

yea, a year ago that's all i had. Well, it never went see. By the time he got around to finish breaking in his motor, i transferred to another branch, so we didn't talk much afterwards. I still got his number, and I'm sure I can ask for a run out of him. But now I'm the one that needs to wait till i get my car back with a new motor, so i can start breaking it in.
