Default Challenged by M3

My buddy who I work with just bought himself a brand new, red, beautiful hardtop M3. I only have Kinetix V+ Manifold, and JWT Pop-Charger as go. My weight reduction is CF Doors basically. Most people have so far said "you don't stand a chance". What type of race should be conducted in order for me to have a chance. I'd say Touge run, cause I know I'd win, but I don't think he'd be down. So I believe he wants straight line. So should I race him from 0-60, 65 mph roll on freeway, 0-100?

i say stick to the touge your car want cheap either so why not throw all that hard earned cash at the touge Gods...... as for the 0-60 the M3 has some pull and 65mph roll i have no clue..... best bet TOUGE cause it takes a good drive to beat someone in a better car......

i hope that all made sense cause i'm all worked up now...

i went with a friend that has an m3 (dont know year or anything) with chip and exhaust. he pulled hard on my stock 06 Z, but i'm a little slow on the shifts still. we went from a dig, and rolls a few times from 40-70 up to around 120. good luck though

*** all this theoretical "should haves" or "on paper" debates.

Just run him and find out.

Your car seems like it should be pretty light. Base/ CF everything/ WITH an LSD, some breathing mods. Run him now before he gets too use to his car!

Yes, we're very close. I'm still getting used to the 6MT, once I've got that nailed down we'll see where the cars stand.

Don't have it man! Base Coupe Status!
He's not SMG, and it's confirmed, we're doing two runs, the first one 0-??, and the second one, ...teh touge! He also has 600 more miles till he breaks the motor in, so hopefully before that, I'll have my JIC Magic Single Exhaust. So for sure, I have 1 win on my side! It's the straight line one I'm concerned about.

Spend some money and do some track. Cruising and a lil spirited driving might be fine in the canyon, but it's not when you two are going all out. If you do night time driving, visibilty sucks. You should know because the run we went to you destroyed your rim because there's just not enough time to dodge rocks. Day time, you will be endangering the lives of bikers and other drivers there, not to mention cops. Just a word of caution. Be safe. Just don't want to read the post and the title states, "Round 1: M3 vs. Z33, Touge WON!!"

Be safe bro... Live to race another day...
