+1 , well said brotha, exactly whats the point of blowing away people with a turbo or something on the streets you dont gain anything but put your life in danger as well as others on the road
i totally agree with eric on this not to pick on anyone but honestly the track is something people totally do not ever consider
more performance = less drivable of a car you have
the Z is an awesome platform of all out handling and speed, to be good its more on the driver, yes when i got mines i was a foolish idiot and toyed around alot only lost 2 races out of like 50+ one to an M3 2nd to an STi off the line but i destroyed 2 STis on the freeway
if your Z isnt keeping up with some car for another reason its probably because your car is not in the same class ~ buy a different car
gotta remember getting caught street racing =
-suspended license
* -in certain cases your car becomes goverment property and they can auction it off or crush it at their will and you would still ahve to make payments
- you get hella flamed on on this site
- car gets impounded
- jail time * you become ray ray's toy in the slammer
- your insurance skyrockets and might even get dropped
- you risk your life and the life of others
- you gain absolutely nothing from winning from a complete stranger
- you just become a statistic like all those people who crash and go to jail on the news and import enthusiasts get cracked on harder
this isnt directed to howard its hypothetical
thats why i dont even canyon run, you risk the life of the other people on the other side of the road ~ to take turns faster you usually take up 2 lanes which is more ideal to gain higher speed
2 lanes = hella bad

freeway racing no one wins its either you go and keep going but get caught behind cars and its usually do or die cause its all out until someone gets caught behind a car which significantly slows down

ok let's get something clear. i don't street race. i do my damn best not to do stupid **** on the streets or freeways. no way in helllll am i going turbo, or anything like that. this car is my dd and will ALWAYS be legal and driveable on a daily basis. while i'd looooooove to turn the z into a full on track car and go that route, it's not something that's feasible right now in life. plus um.... i got this car because i want to drive it. all the time. every day. i'm not going to get some POS beater and keep this in the garage while making insane payments on it every month.
i enjoy the minor performance mods i have for that little extra oomph. i'm working on suspension mods to improve handling a bit.
i enjoy canyon runs and most of you know i do my damn best to keep them as safe as possible.
tracking has always been on my mind and it's something i'll probably start soon... i'm definitely interested in drag racing. i'd also like to take some of those racing classes/driving school classes.
eric, your loud *** exhaust will get you in more trouble than my sway bars will get me.

sighh i dont get the z til like september or something and then i gotta wait til i graduate til my parents buy me a car. if they dont go for the is-f idea then imma go for my own used z.

i think the whole situation just got way out of hand..
everyone drives safe, and i dont think anyone on this thread in our little ktown group is stupid enough to street race
dunno if i should spend on performance or save up and keep looking for deals... what a b!tch..
