^Ummm cuz I'm not sure if the tape will stay on with all the speed of wheels rotating. Plus did you think about amount of heat that will be emitted from your brakes that will leak through between the wheels? etc etc

Because its a moving part on the vehicle and let alone a fire hazard. Your brakes get very hot running.
