Well stripped bolts are never fun. But I will be in the area next weekend. If you don't have it fixed by then let me know.

is this really a simple fix? I dont want to burden you guys with the hastle if it's not that simple. Cause if i take to dealer, i mean... I just pay them whatever they quote and they are FORCED to fix it. lol

but i mean, if its really simple, i'll tip someone to do it.

thanks for the offer myfirst06350Z(i know your name was error. lol) i'll let you know.

ML, what do you think about the situation?

it's a very simple fix. that is, if you have the proper tools that were mentioned.
the dealer might not even be able to fix it in a way that the stock bolts will be used again. depending how bad the cross-threading is, they'll need a different diameter bolt.

i dont know how hard you tried putting it until it got stuck, but try taking everything out, lining up the bolt and hole "perfectly," and then try tightening it that way.

if the threads are REALLY effed up, best thing to do is completely rethread it and get new bolts.

Bah, Just got off the phone with Frank from WCN, said that they could retap the threads, but if they are cross threaded too badly, it could have to go to a body shop and cost a few hundred. Man...I thought about paying WCN to install the intakes for me this last weekend too but i insisted on a DIY. DOH!!!!

Wow. I never realized how much Glendale Nissan sucks ***. My car is 2.5 months old and I already have a voice mail from some deuche bag sales man telling me about the great deals and financing they have right now. I am so calling him back tomorrow. The only question is how long to keep him on the phone and not helping real customers before I tell him to f off?
