too bad all the cars you mentioned have a weak azz resale value especially the TL *which changes shape every other year *compared to German cars, damn japanese cars great pieces of machinery but resale value isnt all there, well compared to American cars their value drops faster than a penny being flicked and hitting the ground
i think my 2004 Base Model 350z is like $17000 or something

well ok i take that back...japanese cars do depreciate a lot...but they hold at the low level.
my audi was worth about $16k a year before i sold it. when i sold it, the so-called kbb price was $12, at good condition. i was glad to have sold it for 10.5.
that's why i'm sticking to used cars. buy 'em. use 'em. resell for more haha

Lexus resale value is is among the top, and Infiniti was just made top 5 automobile company in best resale values.
Z is an exception and depreciates like no tomorrow. There's huge difference in depreciation between Z and G35 coupe.
American cars depreciate the most(I thought everybody knew that), and German car's are not that far behind either.

ehhhhh.... kevin perfect example the year is currently 2001 a 3 series bimmer and acura TL are roughly the same price when purchased from a dealer....$30k + ball park
lets say you wanted to pick up these same cars 2nd hand today
acura TL roughly $11-$12k
3 series roughly $14-$17k
i may be a lil bit off on pricing but ive seen my share of older acuras and infinites sell for way cheap...
infinite and nissan only became cool in america recently with the launch of the 350z and g35, prior to then noone really bought these cars and nissan prior to its revival from the CEO of Renault in 1997 was on the verge of being bankrupt
Japanese Nissans on the other hand were jsut too cool America is blessed with the lovely K24 over an SR20DET
gotta love the United States

Yea it's different depending on the cars.
Resale value for the newer Japanese premium makers are very high.
Z resale value is just crap. My plan was to trade it in for GT-R in future, but it's not even worth it anymore to do that..

and look at all the older Japanese luxury cars aside from the Lexus im referring to Infinite (besides the g35 i love that car) and Acura like late model 90's early model 2000 most of them have no value or arent cool too look at anymore unlike a German car which keeps its prestige
theyre hella more reliable than a German car but in terms of value i would buy a slightly used or preowned one.....
old acura TL - infiniti i30 - infinite j30 - acura CL - older acura CL even more
i mean the GS, IS and LSs are hella pimp im not referring to Lexus though
i too do wanna jump on the VIP bandwagon with a GS

But like I said it will all come down to the specific cars. I bet you that new attractive cars like G35coupe and IS350 will hold their value strong in the future.
BMW 3 series will hold its value relatively well compared to other crap resale-value euro cars because it's a 3 series.
Audi and Mercedez depreciate like crazy.
