okay can you double check to see if it plays in the d3? thanks
I don't see why it wont. One of these days I'm going to put all 3 movies onto one disc to play on the D3. Not that I care much about 1 or 2, but why not have all 3, right?
I also have it on my iphone right now, so if you want you can watch it while we're eating at the galleria.
cool cool. doesn't it need to be a certain format in order to be played on the d3? i wonder if i can just play it from my ps2 so i dont have to take out the navi disc.

DVDs will play with no problem on the D3. I'm pretty sure it can handle most video files (AVI, MP4, MPG, WVM, etc.) My ultimate goal is to burn a bunch of movies onto DVDs just for the D3. Using decent compression and an image size that matches the screen. I figure I should be able to fit a lot onto a single disc. I only wish it had a hard drive built into it, so I didn't have to swap the nav disc all the time.
yea i was thinking about building a carputer but got too lazy. that and i would have to buy a touch screen for the cubby but 06/07 cubby's are a lot harder to work with.
i do remember the d3 could only read a few formats. i dont think it can even read .avi files. i know the screen resolution is like 500x240, which is a bit weird.
I guess your right, I just looked in the manual and it only supports DVD and divx video. Not a big deal, both formats are easy to burn to. I think when the new AVID-N* comes out I'm going to upgrade to that. Slightly bigger screen and built in hard drive FTW.
