Job Opening for Computer Support Specialist
Rancho Federal Credit Union is currently accepting resumes for a Computer Support Specialist and thought I would help out a fellow Z owner. This position is an entry to medium level position and I think tops out at around $18 and change (plus annual cost of living raises). My company has awesome health/dental/vision benefits, paid sick/vacation and since we are a bank we have paid holidays off! Anyways here's the ad:
Computer Support Specialist
Computer Support Specialist\ Desktop Support \ Helpdesk Technician
Excellent opportunity for growth and experience. Candidates must be willing and able to learn new operating systems and various other software applications and computer related functions. The successful candidate must be able to interact with users, identify problems, problem solve, draw valid conclusions, and develop effective solutions.
Description:
Provide technical support to users via telephone, internet, email or on site visit.
Resolve less complex problems immediately, and escalate more complex problems to supervisor or senior IS staff.
Perform general maintenance tasks, troubleshoot and repair computer systems, applications, and peripheral equipment throughout the organization.
Keep up to date on the latest security threats and assist in patching.
Maintain helpdesk database.
Receive and order materials as requested.
Miscellaneous Duties
Requirements:
• Minimum of 6 month experience in Help Desk or Computer Support
• Ability to determine whether an incident's root cause is the result of hardware or software failure
• Excellent troubleshooting aptitude
• Professional demeanor
• Ability to listen and interface with both technical and non-technical personnel
• Good organizational skills
• Good general understanding of networking
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and other popular desktop software
• User level knowledge of Linux/Unix a plus
• User level knowledge of Macintosh a plus
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Must have valid drivers license
• Travel between locations is required
