Default Stupid ticket

I was cruising around huntington beach and on my way home, when a stupid cop pulled me over and gave me a ticket for tinted windows. He should give tickets to people who driving dangerousely, not people who drive safely. Now I gotta pay to remove the tint and I've really grown attached to it. Anyone know any way around this or have an idea.

no for real, is it a fix-it ticket? if so there was another thread about some guy who's looking to take off his tint so it can pass inspection, i guess, and then put it back on. there are some good prices/shops recommended in there.

If you know anyone that is a cop you can have them write off your fix-it ticket. I always thought about doing this but never tried. You can get ask around to borrow the same color Z with no tinted windows, swap license plates and go to the police station so they can check that you took your tint off. Ticket signed off, pay $10 and swap back the license plates. 3rd option is to pay the ticket and not take off your tint...but I think the ticket price will vary. Best of luck.

Man.....after reading this im even more annoyed. I was parked in a parking structure taking a nap in my car and then some lady who tried to park, hit my bumper. The lady had no license, no insurance, and no car registration. The cop came and just wrote police report and let her go without any punishment. No citation or anything....... She just continued her life like nothing happened, while we get these bs tickets for having licenses.

Well first dont complain cause you broke the law.. Law says no tint, sure thier might of been someone driving dangerously somewhere but where he was thier wasnt. Tint is a touchy subject for cops... when you have tint you cant see inside the vehicle at night so he doesn't know if the driver has a gun or not... ect ect. You might be a well rounded moral person who isn't gonna shoot the cop but he doesn't know that.... If you want to have tint you either gotta keep paying the fines or tell your congressman to legalize it.

The police in San Bernardino definitely put the VIN number on your ticket. I received one for doing 66 in a 40, he pulled out his little PDA, and scanned the bar code on the driver's door frame that is required on all cars in California before they are sold. The ticket then printed out with all my info on it, including the VIN. This is how I found out that the cops call my car copper and not LS. Not sure what they do in other cities though.

There may be a way around this ticket. If you have sensitive eyes, and your eye doctor prescribes sunglasses for you to wear during the daytime because your eyes are sensitive to sunlight. The doctor may also write you a prescription for you to have your windows tinted for the same reason. If you carry this prescription with you, show the police when they pull you over. If they still write you a ticket, you can take the prescription to court, and it will probably be thrown out.
Hope this helps. Joe

It's not about cops enforcing laws, or people breaking piddly little joke laws like tinting... What you should really be mad at is the fact that the cops are out giving tickets for this stuff, instead of patrolling my ghetto *** neighborhood and picking up the gang-bangers that are out holding people up at gunpoint.

I’m all for seeing those who break the law get their comeuppance, but when it comes at the expense of the mother and child that can’t go to the store because they’re afraid of getting mugged, that’s a whole different story.

Anyway, sorry for the rant… but damn, I see cops out giving tickets to people for nothing more than tinting, missing plates, improper signaling, etc., while little sally can’t get to school safely because the streets are so f-d up, and I just want to vomit.

That would make sense if he was in LA, compton, or somewhere similar but I dont think that Hunningtion Beach has that problem...

ive had my fair share of run ins with the huntington beach police. all i can say is they are one of the most strict pd's ive ever seen. its hard to get away from a ticket by them. i remember my friend getting harrassed by huntington beach pd because he had tinted windows too. and he never did anything wrong, they harrassed him because he was driving a camry and he was a bald asian guy. i remember the cop kept asking if it really was his car, the cop just wanted to see if te car was stolen. waste of our 30 mins

You could always do what we do around here, and make the gang banging bastards leave. I don't mind the homeless downtown, but we don't have a problem with gang bangers because we make them relocate.
