Great run, great people, great pics, and especially great video, thats me in front of the camera car when we take off, sounds great when everybody takes off together. Good combination of my exhaust along with someones tires squeelin when we take the right turn just before the end of the video too. Cant wait to see the rest. Very cool, now I need to get that cracked mid pipe replaced so it wont be so raspy on the next run lol.

Hey Iris, Brandon, hope to see you on the next one.

Getting some people lost was my fault. I forgot three things: 1) always be clear about the inital directions because of that signal light that can break up the group, 2) make sure to wait around the bend at Mulholland ainstead of where I stopped and 3) give everyone my cell. We'll get it right next time, it doesn't always happen but it is easy for a separation to occur.

I'm glad people had fun. I hope that one fella with the blown out tire turned out okay. The next run I'll post about will be a meet that starts at West Covina Nissan and will include a full run of the Angeles Crest area including a stop for lunch at Nukems. Probably sometime in April is what I'm thinking. I'm thinking of a full tour of the area that includes three or four hours of canyon roads. Should be nice in the spring.

 

oohhh wow...that sounds fun...I just hope its not april 13-18th....I'll be out of state then if all goes right.

 

Yeah we should have waited on Topanga as soon as we made that left...

 

No worries man... Those of us who separated from the group had a really nice 100+ mph run on PCH almost all the way to Oxnard trying to catch up to the group...

I think Scott and Paul will agree with me that even though we separated, we still had our little fun. After all, we all met again at Neptunes.

Thanks for organizing this. I love running the Angeles forrest and Crest, hope to be able to do that meet too.

 

couple of us are gonna go scout some new canyons on the west side of angeles crest, hopefully get a really good run organized in the next month or so....hope you can make it!

great vid, too......but one question--what's the thing that swings into the left side of the screen when you're making the right hand turn? looks like a lens..... but from the driver's side??

I have a mount in the Z for two video cameras (forward & back). Then when I can used my digital camera hand held for stills.

i was driving sweep in the slow 914 and i was surprised i didn't see anyone in a guard rail. hahaha

and luckily no cyclists were hit but i did come up to one a little too quickly on mulholland when a motorcycle was on my butt.

 

I will put more up when I edit it down, but I did not have the cameras on all the time.
