dont get me wrong. i like to hang out with the so cal guys @ meets. its good meeting people.... but there is always someone that wants to take it up a notch during a canyon run and most of the time, its not just driver error.. some loose rocks / dirt on the road and poof. game over.

i've lost a friend on canyon run, and i've seen my share of post-accident pictures. call me paranoid, but. canyon runs are only cool for the pictures at the top of the mountain. nothing more than that...

if u guys like twisites, then why not lets organize a full on track day again? way safer and in a controlled environment.. we tried it before @ buttonwillow but its amazing how many people will cop out at the last minute when you have to 'pay' for twisties...

I understand man. I enjoy a quick pace in the canyons, but it's always about safety first. There's no need for anyone to exceed their limits or overdrive the car. Everyone thinks they're going fast, but in reality we're not at the limits of the cars. There's always people who wish to cruise near the back and that's fine. The only car meets I enjoy going to are ones that involve some type of drive. Parking lot meets are such a bore.

Sorry about your friend. If I experienced that, I would be paranoid myself.

Even though there is some inherent danger in these drives, I think that's what adds to the fun. Though I do believe it is still good safe fun with everything considered. The track is always the best place to push the car, but controlled environment or not, there are always plenty of accidents at the track.

Hey bro, the car sounds good, but that shiz is loud. I was next to you during that first stoplight and when you revved it actually hurt my ears.

Oh, and too bad Indy is going to take it this year.
