This "run" is turning out to be a large turn out. With this many people planning on attending, keeping everyone together will be difficult so we'll have to make sure everyone remains in contact.

More importantly, I'd like to bring up a safety issue. Please take a moment to look at this thread:

Although many of us have been to Angeles Crest, we may not have gone through many of the areas we'll be covering. Besides this being the first time we've gone through parts of the area, I want to remind everyone that Angeles Crest is one of two highways in Southern California that has a zero speed tolorance. This means, if you go one mile per hour over the speed limit, CHP or a Sheriff can ticket you. This stretch of road has a zero tolorance because there have been so many deaths attributable to the road. Many motorcyclists have died going over a canyon. And, I'm sure there have been a fair number of auto accidents as well.

For these reasons, this "run" will be a "cruise." Safety is our first concern so we will be staying at about the speed limit and we will not be engaged in spirited driving like we are accustomed to in the Santa Monica mountains.

I am not an event coordinator. Everyone is personally responsible for any injury or property loss. Lets all remember that this get together and cruise is all about having fun and we're not going to ruin it with any accidents or tickets.

Wow. I'll def think twice before I go up there next time. Actually had a friend fly his brand new RX-8 up there, but he was ok.

Hi guys. I am new to this. But if you guys have a meet sooner then April i am in. Especially if its going to be around Angeles Crest, since i live 5 minutes away from there.
