Default Anyone in the 818 want to help me out? :)

Hey fellas, just want to know if anyone is willing to give me a hand here. I just took up a new interest in photography and I want to do a shoot on one of the nice 350z's here. I grew tired of shooting the same cars over and over again.
I'm no pro or anything, I don't even have a jazzy SLR, but I know some of you guys will be bored during winter break

The black evo is mine, and the other cars are my friends'. I always want to do a shoot of a silver g35c or z because I think the lines on the cars are absolutely beautiful!

Appreciate any and all help, guys

I'd love to check out your EVO and have some pics taken. I'm way over in Anaheim Hills so it would prob have to be on a weekend.

Hey fellas. I'm using a Canon Powershot S2 IS. It is around only $280 brand new. I was going to buy an SLR, but I was worried that I might get bored of this hobby sooner or later. I will buy an SLR once I feel like I will use it to its full potential.

These shots were taking at the new parking structure in the Topanga Mall. The WRX picture was taken outside of my friend's house at night with very bad lighting. I had to raise the ISO setting so that is why there's a lot of noise in the background.

The white Evo was shot at a parking structure at my campus, Cal State Northridge.

I will be pretty much free after finals week, which is next week.

Mar Oner...I will give you a PM once my last final is done a week from today

Digging the lighting! The camera doesnt make the photo, the guy behind it does! I had a friend start off with a disposible and he did some CRAZY A$$ stuff with just that (like hazy edges, odd focal point pix, etc.). Get a new camera when you have out grown your current one. Great eye!

Good luck with your new hobby!

That is correct. IMO lighting is the most important factor. I have several friends who went out and bought SLR's and started taking pictures. The quality sucked because they thought that they can just point and shoot at anything and expect the result to rival the good pix they see from the net.

I will be more than happy to shoot more than one Z. Whether at one time or not

I still need to find locations with sufficient lighting, this is a hard task and why I only have 2 locations that I use.

Hey guys, one more request if you all don't mind. Can you post a picture of your car up on the thread? I want to see the color of the car, and wheels so I can plan the location accordingly. Some colors need brighter locations than other

Thanks for the fast replies, guys! Cars are looking good.
One last thing, can you put what city you are in?

I will try to shoot pix of the 818 folks first as they are very local. Anyone who is further away is more than welcomed to drive up for a shoot as well

I think I will be able to do a shoot for everyone who wants one as my winter break will be about 6 weeks long.

I thought that it may be hard to find a participant, but looks like you guys are all very friendly and helpful. Thanks for the hospitality.
