Default OG

I will call OG myself and see what group rates we can get....Usually $20.00 per head which includes a drink (if memory serves me right)

I will be starting a thread in So Cal to get a head count....sheesh I need some points too....

1) Date:

May 17th seems to be the winner so far. Masta doesn't like the 3rd or 10th, and I agree w/hfm that the Memorial Day weekend would be bad. People (me) might have to see family, plus the Friday afternoon drive out there would be infinitely annoying and gridlocked.

However, May 17th is not one of the weekends mentioned in hfm's post re the Treasure Island specials. Maybe we can get this fixed with a group rate.

2) Treasure Island sounds fine with me.

3) The only connections my guy has are the Rio and Bally's (I think), so I won't be calling him.

4) Ontario Mills (where the 10 and 15 meet) will be our rendezvous point.

Thoughts?
So far it appears that May 17, 2003 is a majority date. Shall we set this as a firm date? If no further date requests that change the majority takes place by the end of the first week of April, May 17, 2003 will be set.

I kinda like Masta's idea of a group pile up in Bullish's rooms, would be like college days. Bring sleeping blankets LOL! I bet there will be rates for Treasure Island for May 17 coming up as we get closer. You know if this turns into a half-dozen or so Z run, we should consider a group suite. If this becomes another 20+ Z event, rooms sound like a must.

Ontario Mills is a winner and our meet location. I think we need to give everyone a hour to a hour and a half to get there after work. That makes this a 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. meet time. But, we don't want to get there too late or we will arrive in the wee hours of Saturday.

So, to sum up our current plans:

The Vegas Z Run

Date: May 17, 2003
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Location: Ontarior Mills Shopping Mall
Destination: Treasure Island

This is a guideline subject to change based upon follow-up posts. Okay people, post if you're in for this event, post if you want some changes to our plans, post if you can get us deals, post if you just feel like posting.

The plan sounds good except i know i will not be able to make it to ontario by 7:30. traffic on the 91 east is a killer right after work. Besides "time" does not exist in vegas.

I posted this already, but the $20 DOES NOT include drinks any longer. They used to include TWO drink tickets, and they stopped doing that.

Well I just got back from Vegas like two hours ago and stayed at Caesars. I would like to stay there for three HUGE reasons. 1) The parking is really good and actually there are a couple of floors that nobody parks at and there are video cameras on every floor. 2) European sunbathing at the pools 3)central location on the strip.

Iv'e stayed at every single casino on the strip and when I take the Z I always book according to their parking(when I take a rental I dont care). Alladin and Caesars have the best as far as parking goes. I say this because for the most part their upper garage floors are empty, they have security cameras, and the spaces are big.

I'm not a high roller but I go to Vegas at least 8 times a year. From my experience booking within a week of your arrival is going to get you the best rate. This may not be such a hot idea considering this is going to be a planned group thing. In that case I'll suggest these sites that I've been frequenting recently.
They often have promo codes that you can use online or call up with.

One time me and a group of friends used a "red7" code at the Venetian. We got three suites...each for $100 a night.

LOL, sounds like fun. Actually though I think Mike will probably come to this one - doesn't want me to get too crazy (hehe, have not told him about CH2 or OG plans yet). Altho he is going this weekend to Vegas WITHOUT ME for a bachelor party, so I feel like he owes me one.

Damn Iris... You're gonna be the Pimpette with all these Z guys!!! I wish all you were females and so I can be the pimp.

Well, if yalls wanna crash in my room... I guess I can ask for a suite... BUT!!! I guess I shouldn't bring my date if we're gonna pack a dozen people in the room!

BTW - I called Treasure Island group sales, and we'll get a group rate if we have AT LEAST 15 rooms.

Who else is going anyway?

I'm in for a room with me and my girlfriend. So I'm in for one definitely. We should start a list of those definitely going. Then maybe people who are going solo can coordinate with other people and see if they want to share a room or whatever. It might be hard getting enough people for 15 rooms, but lets see what happens. Then if we get like 10 or so rooms maybe we can still negotiate even though its not 15. Just tell them we are all high rollers. But first I think we should start by making a list of those definitely going.

I really wish we were going in April though, cause Wayne Brady is gonna be at Paris. Oh well, maybe I might go in April anyways.

Right, so we will push the clock if need be. 8:00, 8:30, what's good for the group?

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it for this meet. Which sucks, cause I really REALLY want to go to Vegas again. I haven't been since the first time I went, which was my 21st birthday, which was about two and a half years ago. E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) is that week before, and I'll have friends coming in town for that, so I'll have to stick around here. That really sucks. Next time.

Hi,

Who's in charge? I'm in for a room. My bro and I will be joining this Vegas Trip. Please let me know the fixed time and location and the rate too. I'm from San Diego anyways.

More information will be forthcoming as we near the date. The date and location is fixed. However, if someone can get us a better deal, we may change venue. The rates are subject to further group rate reduction and anyone elses VIP "pull."

I foresee us each booking our own rooms however further discussion is necessary regarding the room arrangements. Just keep checking this post.

Default OK, i'm reviving this thread.

What about the 24th? the 17th doesn't work for me b/c of a wedding. Butterfly is down with the 24th too (we've talked about this).

the 10th is mother's day, the 31st is crazy memorial's day.

Yes, we are exerting p-- power to move/set the date.
