Get an R1 or a GSX-R1000, and then just don't stop...

A ZX10R works well, too...

If you get a lawyer, make sure you don't spend too much on him. basically, you will have 3 points on your license if you are guilty for all 3. Two for the hundred plus, and one for the 65+. I am preeeeeety sure that 3 is the max allowed within either a year or 18 months. One of those points you can wipe off through traffic school which will cost about $130. Your insurance wont go up too much with the other 2 points.

If I were you, I would request a "trial by declaration." What happens is that you have a month or so to submit a written statement about the incident. It doesn't matter what you write because if the cop turns one in also, you are almost 100% guilty regardless of what you write. But, the good thing is that you have a good chance that the cop won't turn his in. I have an uncle who is a Highway Patrol and he told me this is the best thing to do. Even if you are found guilty with a trial by declaration, you can still set up a court date and fight it a second time.

btw, I was caught speeding in October and I did the trial by declaration thing. Worked like a charm

i had a friend who got 2 DUIs in a span of one month. (yes he was quite a moron). anyways, his lawyer was pretty good, got them to throw out one DUI. he won both dmv court cases, won 1 civil case but lost the other. had to wear an anklet bracelet for 3 months.
heres the lawyer details:-

William Kopensky
310-418-6864
bkopeskylaw@aol.com

will help if you tell him Jay Lowden reffered you.

"Hi Naeiri,

Congratulations, your 22348 (b) speeding ticket was dismissed at trial. There is no fine, your license will not be suspended and no points will go on your record. This e-mail is being sent to you so that you will have a paper record of sorts from us about this case. If you have any questions about this e-mail, please call me at (818) 994-8888.

Thank you,

Mark Schraeder

Nice... I assume hiring the lawyer was cheaper than paying the ticket and the inevitable hire insurance rates?

yeah.. i can only imagine the how high my insurance would go with 2pts and a suspended license and whatnot. plus i HAD to show up in court.. in a county that's a 3 hr drive away. the traveling costs, court fees, etc...

But 3 hours is really only 45 minutes with the way you drive..... . So this means you can go to traffic school for the first ticket since officially, you only have one ticket?

yup, if they find me guilty again. i completed a written trial by declaration which they found me guilty on so i requested a trial de novo [new trial] with a completely new judge. i have to go to court oct 22 for that. i'm going to try to get an extension, push back the date a little.

With those speeds that one ticket is 2 pts and you can't go to school for it.

I also did a trial by declaration and completely BEAT-UP my case. (First speeding ticket ever)

Got my bail money back and everything. Included in my declaration was a nicely drawn diagram with chronological events.

The thing was I was only going 78 do overtake a van because my next freeway I had ot take was coming-up. The CHP bike cop was a total b1tch too. He had a huge power trip on me. I hope he realises his ticket was defeated.

they don't defend. basically they overwhelm the system with subpoenas and such. if proper procedure isn't followed, and everything isn't documented and signed by the correct clerks and people and whatever, in the right amount of time, the case is thrown out because proper legal procedure hasn't been followed.

come on, i was paced. how in the world can they claim i'm innocent?

damn the man, i say. damn the man.
