might have gotten a ticket last nite? fill me in guys
so last nite i was making a right turn on from western to beverly and saw a flash go off. well i stopped before i made the right but i think i went over the 1st white pedestrian line. can they give me a ticket on the camera for crossing the 1st white line before stopping to make a right? im hoping they see the picture and see that my car is completely stopped and not even mail me anything.

They have to take two pics from what i understand, one with you at the line or just crossing it with the light red, and one in the intersection with the light red. If you made a turn it wouldn't have tripped the 2nd camera, i don't think. But they should be able to tell if you were turning or not.
This happened to me once, i never got a ticket for it. Sometimes when i go through an intersection when someone is pulling up, (if the timing is good) i will see the flashes go off on the camera. hahahaha
edit...here where i live, we have two camera at those types of intersections i'm not sure what you have.

from traffic school i took recently, if any part of ur car is over the first white line, its considered running the red light, even if ur stopped. But as long as they didnt get a picture of ur plate ur okay good luck.

Redlight cameras are directed along one street at an intersection. The flashes go off when they detect something obstructing the intersection along that street. If you're turning onto it from an adjacent street, the camera probably thought you ran the red light. I see it happening all the time around here. Even if they got a picture of you turning, I doubt they have a clear picture of your license plate, just a very sexy profile shot of the Z

There has to be two pictures the first when you enter the intersection and the second when you are going through the intersection so the first one was taken of you but the second would not have been tripped.

You're alright man. Once in town I did like an almost "power slide" like turn at an intersection without knowing that it was camera enforced. I went really fast and turned right. As I was getting into the turn I saw flashes of the camera go off. Never got a ticket.
