i dont run a front plate on the z, and my dad doesnt run 1 on his zo6 either, and we never hav a problem. i guess theres a code cops follow, it goes "nots for the hots" according to car and driver. but i heard that if they ask you to drill a hole in the front for the plates, thats illegal (if you dont hav mounting holes). this true?

A big difference is you live in Milwaukee. California has a Gestapo like police in regards to Cars. can you clarify the "nots for hots" comment I dont catch your drift?

I wish cops can just RELAX and try to fight real crimes.

The laws of the different states are different. I can't imagine that the exuse of not having holes in the bumper for a certain type of mount could be a valid one. There are many brackets that don't require holes to be drilled in the bumper.

Seeing threads like this makes me nervous. ~10 years driving in LA and never been pulled over. My car isn't quiet at WOT either... which I tend to do a lot...

yeah man, glendale is getting bad, my girl lives in Silvelake, and drives through Glendale all the time, and she's got 2 tickets in 2 weeks for no front plate and tint on her IS250, and she drives normal all the time.
