Default Omfg I Got Pulled Over Again!

this time at 2 am going home for no front plate and exhaust. theres a twist to the ending but still i get pulled over for exhaust and plate. i said the exhaust meets all requirements and its carb approved. hes like wut u got under the hood. i said just intake but thats carb approved too so i said i'll show u. i popped it open and there was my good ole jwt popcharger and the sticker i put on the shield =D. and he looks at the engine bay and says ok. plenum spacer and crank pulley looks stock. anyways so on the way back he sees my military registration decal and says u got ure military ID? so i show him and he goes for a couple minutes and comes back. but he looked familiar so i did u come to my house because of some vandalism i reported? hes like oh yea so we small talked for a bit being the he was in the army reserves that was that.

yea i got off of it but still 2 am and they pull you over for exhaust and front plate? glendale is getting worse and worse. moral of the story is don't drive at 2 am in glendale. my other ticket last week was for going 41 in a 35 zone at 2 am.

Damn I'm glad I don't live in Cali for these reasons. In Texas they'll only nickle and dime you to death if you did something really wrong or if you were giving the cop an attiude.

Edit: And trust me man you are okay with that red light right turn.

If you do I'll send you my ticket for the right turn at a photo enforced stoplight that I never received..

Yeah this hasn't been your month. You need to keep a dozen donuts in your car at all times just in case

So you base an entire state's police force on the postings on one Internet thread - I suppose you give pot to your two year old baby too?

Must be a Glendale thing rather than a state wide thing. Imagine the size of the police force able to pull over 35 million citizens each week. I haven't been stopped in California in +20 years on and off driving here, front license plate or not, driving all of 6 mph over the speed limit or not, after market intake or not. On the highways I'm typically +10-15 over and have been know to double that for hours worth of driving heading out of the LA area.

Well you do have to admit though that having a "less modified" car and being an older gentleman will net you less tickets as well versus the gimpster who is younger and his car stands out a lot more.

No actually I''m basing it on this thread, and many other threads about cops in Cali wanting to check under your hood, the CARB restrictions that you guys have, the strick enforcement of front plates..etc. Sounds like you were given too much pot as a baby if you got nothing better to do than to bust my chops over ^ this morning

Thumbs up I try to take some pre-cautions, but in the end were at their mercy

I try a couple of things to steer clear of cops.

1. If your windows tinted have them rolled down whenever possible or when your driving in cities known for their hatred of imports/modified cars. ex. huntington beach, downey, etc... check the thread about how bad cities are its a good overview from people who have 1st hand accounts.

2. I make it a point to never blast my radio while driving unless you are on the freeway or in city streets your comfortable in, but I think its useless having your radio cranked up high anyway.

3. Most important: DONT DRIVE LIKE A MANIAC! drive your car responsibly and you should be fine. Modified cars get targeted as it is so there is no use making any mistakes with your driving drawing even more attention to yourself.

My car isn't that modified just the fact that its black on black makes it an eye catcher for cops (SB with tint and black GT'7s). To alleviate the tinting problem when I feel it is neccesary I turn on my interior lights to take out the effect of having it such a dark tint or I leave the double din on daytime illumination (driving late at night which I do all the time early a.m. hours. I have a tv screen in the cubby and a double din eclipse unit so I'm asking for trouble. I do what I can to eliminate whatever they can pull you over for

I got a ticket for front plate recently and didn't get cited for tint. I wasn't very honest with the young cop saying I needed to take it to the dealer to get the holes drilled and all ,but what can I say I was nervous. Next time I'm going to tell them the truth (the tint is more to protect my interior from being ransacked and how I roll down the windows etc..) probably wont work but atleast I'm being honest.

Oh yeah modify the car and know your at the mercy of the cops.

+1 for you being smart and having Carb compliant parts.

p.s.: If you do get pulled over turn off your car turn interior lights on if applicable, both hands on steering wheel, and have the proper documents ready. It's not a proven fact but I live by this and have positive experiences from it.

not even bad dude, my homie got pulled over in ontario driving a civic, WITH NO MODS around 10 pm after work, he was on the way back to west co and right before he got on the fwy he got pulled over and they took him to jail. they pulled him over for no reason, then checked his car for no reason, the reason he went to jail was cuz he had a stolen police baton in his car.

2 AM is the worst time to be driving home( if the bars close at 2:00). Cops know that there is a much higher percentage of drinkers on the road at that time and will look for anything(like no front plate) to pull you over with hopes of discovering someone who has had too much.
