I know some G owners that want to get the Z handles but never any honda owners.

Depends where you take it... If it were me I could take it to some body shops for estimates and also some custom shops to see what it costs to just shave them and install poppers.... that would be a nice "silver lining" some of the work is done for yoU! (sort of)
