anybody in the OC area who has had/has an 06 rev-up oil consumption problem AND has gotten it taken care of, can you tell me which dealership you went to and how long the process is? i dont have too much time during the week to take my car into a dealership and be without a car due to school and work. any help would be appreciated. thanks.
well i went to perf. nissan and they changed out my motor. it took about 2 weeks but they took care of me. they got me a rental car and they paid for it.
oh nice... anyone in particular i should talk to about this? did they have to do an oil consumption test first or did they just replace your block after looking at it for a little bit?

oh the rods were knocking like crazy. that was enough for them to replace it. haha the service manager that took care of me was Tim.
see the thing is my rods arent really knocking too bad. but my car just ate 2 quarts at 1800 miles. and theres a lot of black residue on the tips of my exhaust. i dont know if thats normal or not but 2 quarts is pretty insane. and hieu, did u get a rental car in the process?

I was burning 1.5 quarts in 700 miles. One time it went dry at 3000 miles and I had noises coming from the engine.
I could have gotten a rental car but I wanted to get it over with asap and dropped it off on a Thursday. They told me to wait until Monday to get the rental car to have the whole week to work on the car incase they need extra parts.
I had low oil pressure.. my rear bumper PPW was covered with black stuff. If you really want to check it out.. ask your advisor to put you on a consumption test the next time you go for an oil change.

i always feel like dealers would just lie to you and say everything is fine.
For the dealerships that do help us out; do they get some kind of reward from Nissan's headquarters? I've always been confused on this type of matter. Someone please enlighten me on this subject.
