just out of curiosity, does she have the SOS system in her car enabled? i ask because if you take your registration to the police and give them your vin number, they can track the vehicle if the vehicle has the SOS system enabled...if you need any more help, i work at a bmw dealer, let me know...sorry about your situation dude...

UPDATE!!

Vehicle has been located on base!! I got ahold of the magistrate's office (civil processing I think), explained everything, and they've found the car and who had it. He was just doing the his wife's friend (my ex) a favor so I hope I can keep him from getting in trouble.

Magistrate's office will hold it until my father can drive in tomorrow to get it from the base. Should hopefully be on a truck Sat. on it's way to Detroit.

Thanks guys! Can't thank you enough. The contact at the Magistrate's office was very cool about the whole thing and even wanted a run-down on the story once we got specifics for my dad to get the car out of the way.

Just an update for you guys....

I picked up the car on Saturuday morning from the destination terminal in Taylor, MI. Except for the interior being FILTHY, the car drives like new. There are a couple things I'll need to fix but they're very minor. It's got a couple dings and scratches for for a 90k mile car......it's in much better shape than I expected. I'll post a pic or two when I get a chance.
