Thanks for all the kind words. My wife's a little sore in a couple places and my left wrist hurts a little, but that seems to be it. Our 7.5 lb mutt was in a small carrier we strap in between our seats on top of the hard plastic thing behind our seats. And he was fine.

I was hoping your wife wasn't holding the dog, so when the airbag pops, it won't hit them direct on.. good thing you put the dog between the seats, no airbag there

sorry about your loss, you will be ready to get another new Z in weeks

Whoa glad you, your wife, and the dog made out ok!
That's pretty serious damage, but I dont think the insurance company will declare it totalled?
(unless there's more damage to the roof area behind that folded up hood..)

Any damages to the driver side? It looks like a borderline total loss. If there is damages to the driver side, I am pretty sure that they will total it.

Sorry to see that, gl on everything!!

Again, thanks for the comments. We were goingwith the flow about 55-60 mph when this guy in a tundra in the lane to the right swerves in front of us and either stopped or was going much slower than us. I didn't have more than 2 seconds before we hit. I did brake but he was probably 10-15 feet in front of us. The car still ran after the accident and there's no drivers side damage behind the front fender. The passenger door wouldn't open all the way cuz the fender got pushed back into the door a little.

Even though the tundra cut in front of me I hope they don't blame the accident on me cuz I rearended him. It's a good thing there was a third car in the accident cuz I think they hit first before he swerved. At first he spoke English to me but by the time I asked for his license, etc. he only spoke Spanish. But the CHP said he got all the info and I can get that from them.

Sure miss my Z....

Which part of the Tundra did you hit? The driver side rear or quarter panel?

If you rear ended his quarter panel, then it will show he swerved in front of you and liability should be adversed the Tundra driver for unsafe lane change.

If Tundra collided with the car first and you rear ended him straight to the rear bumper, then you might get blame for the rear end damages of the Tundra.
