Default omg im deaf and cops on my ****

I just did the exhaust swap with rasr16. I got his nismo and left my titek testpipes on it. I drove out of the lot and I thought I was going to go deaf. The sound is awesome but man it was TOO loud for me. Now this is the awesome part. I was driving about 1 mile down valley bl and testing out the sound when I get pulled over. Sheriff says my **** is too loud and lets me go. Then I continue driving and Im stopped on the light at stimson/gale. I go on green and guess what? ANOTHER sheriff pulls me over for the same damn thing. F*ck... Im going to take this testpipe off tomorow. I dont see how you guys with the nismo + testpipe setup manage to not get pulled over

man I dunno. I was driving pretty normal. Around 3k-4k it gets soooo freaking loud! Maybe Im not used to it cause its just too much noise for me. The sound is very high pitched so the sound travels for miles it seems . The testpipes makes all kinds of strange noises on the nismo but when they were on the greddy evo2 the testpipes made almost no noise...strange stuff. ....lets just say the cops were cool ;D

I have the same setup and I'll say that it is so fckin loud but I think it sounds good. I normally shift at about 2.5k to keep the noise down if any cops are around. Normal cruising, its pretty quiet.

I have a Nismo with Kinetix HFC's and the sound is AMAZING. I only get a little rasp when its cold, like when I first start it up, but 2 minutes of driving, and its fine. But it doesnt get loud until you get on it a little, and it keeps alot of the "VQ" sound. I'd just get some HFC's if I was you, and get rid of the TP's.

Do you have the entire Nismo exhaust? Y-pipe included?

Is there a difference between test pipe brands? I couldnt imagine how they could be any different as the length is so short to add anything drastic.

No sound clip of the loudness?

That should give you an idea of how it sounds. The vid doesn't do its justice on how loud it is as my friend told me

edit-I laughed when he put the headmuffs on because last time I dyno'd I didn't have the Nismo installed.

All the mods in the sig. I'm not sure if the OP has headers or not but if he doesn't, it may be slightly quieter... just maybe

Ah, that whistle is just the dyno you hear

I'm with Justin on this one. Just get some HFCs. I have the Stillen true dual, headers and Kinetix HFCs and it sounds slightly loud under normal driving but sounds awesome when you apply the heavy foot to it. The engine roars like a good VQ should.
