I think I saw you wearing some kind of glasses.

I thought it was a rear end collision because when I passed you, I saw no damage on the left side.

Hope you are okay and hope you get what you need to get your Z back up to par.

Yup, that was me. Feels ok now, we will see when I wake up tomorrow. Thanks for the kind words.

Should never wish for an accident. Sometimes, you get more than you ask for.

You dont want your engine all mess up and you getting injuried. Not a great feeling.

I'm telling you that because I just got into an accident like 2 weeks ago. An exploded truck tire piece flew toward me and hit my Z while I was driving like 75mph on the freeway. It was at night and the truck didn't even stop. I didn't even get a license plate number. Consider yourself lucky bro. And yea, glad that you didn't get hurt!

I hear you. Sorry about your accident. I had my share of hit and run. Someone hit my quarter panel last year while it was parked. That person didnt have courtesy to leave a note or anything. I end up had to pay my deductible. Feel your pain bro!!!

Sorry to say that I am averaging 1 hit and run per year in my 03' that I brought home in Oct of 02' only 48 hours later and the 1st hit and run while parked was $1k out of my back pocket.

I'm just glad you are OK. The 91 freeway is always a nightmare 24/7. Good luck getting your Z all gussied up again!

Cheers~

First off I'm glad your ok and the damage wasn't too extensive.

I hate to be the guy that brings this up but I see it to often. If you had a few seconds to lay on your horn, why didn't you use those seconds to either brake and get behind the truck or change gears and accelerate in front of it. I think too many people rely on there horns and the reaction of others rather than reacting themselves.

You are right, damages are not too extensive. It just looks really bad visually. I dont think there is any frame damage. They body shop might actually be able to repair the sides instead of replace them. But pretty much every piece of the passenger side had some damages. Front bumper, fender, door, side skirt and quarter panel. At least no side airbad deploy.

I was laying the horn and breaking at the same time. When the truck decide to merged over, my car was next to the front end of the trailer. I didnt have a chance to speed up. I tried to slow down. But the trailer was so long, he kept on merging over the tail end of trailer eventually smashed in my car.

sorry to hear that...but you should have forseen such an event and positioned yourself with a pre-planned escape route (Its something I do hundreds of times every time I drive). Keep a safety bubble!

+1. Good call. Never worry about coming off as a jerk even if they pressure you on. You did the right thing.
