Thumbs up San Diego Cruise June 3rd. Anyone interested?

I was thinking of taking a cruise out through the twisty roads past Barona and into the desert towards El Centro.

Anyone interested in going and maybe stopping at Sonic for some lunch?

Yes! Just completed the move here and anxious to stretch the Z's legs on some SoCal roads; haven't driven the damn thing in over a month! Where and what time for the start?

Sweet; hope some more come on board. Can you post up a mapquest link of that location? I don't know the area yet and my nav is still in a box waiting to be installed, lol.

Looks like a good place. I read an article in last weekend's paper about some nice driving/stops/sights along Route 94 out to Campo. That what you had in mind?

Zoom out and you can see the route and a nice loop out 94, up Buckman Springs Road and back I-8

pretty much what I had in mind. Once @ the 8 we could either come back right away or head East to El Cantro which is about 30 minutes and get something to eat there or eat back at the starting area.

Sweet; Julian has some good places to eat as well (and of course the apple pie!). If heading that way, I assume Sunrise Highway is on tap? That's my favorite road to date.

Maybe I can get the old man to tag along in his NSX as well.

Darn! Starts too late. I've got a 1pm party. Have fun & hope to join in next time. I plan to organize a way early morning run to Idyllwild in late July!

Well, doesn't look like I'll make it after all. :-( Ended up going to the Switchfoot concert at the beach in Encinitas today, so have to play catch up tomorrow.

Man, I'd really like to; just got too many loose ends to tie up after the move (plus I'd like to get my nav installed). Need to try to set up a nice cruise like this a bit more in advance, generate some hype and get alot of people on board for it to be successful. I'll be the first to sign up; my calender is wide open after today.
