there is a link on Driver for meeting at track... basically its off Cherry North of 10... all the Gs, hopefully Zs and FXs meet just inside the main gate to the right... you'll see us all (unless you're the first one there )

On G35Driver they were talking about IHOP and it actually sounds like a good idea. Anybody around the glendale/pasadena/burbank/la crascenta area want to join me for a feast before the event let me know. I know dirtyZ and FastZ33 are down.

Oh BTW, I want to remind everyone who is going you need a helmet. I'm not sure if they will check to see if its snell approved but DOT approved for sure.

Does anyone know if you need snell approved? I got one DOT, and I can get two snells from my buddy.

Helmet: Required in all vehicles faster than 13.99 seconds. Helmet must meet SNELL 95 or better standards (must have label inside of helmet). NOTE: In January 2007 the requirement will be SNELL 2000 or better

am i really going to run better than 13.99??

I know thats the NHRA rule, but I think at fontana they require all cars to have a snell approved helmet. I'm not completely sure though.

only if your faster than 14sec will you need a helmet. They check for your helmet if they see that your time is faster than 14 when you pick up your time slip.

I would bring one just in case especially for you Z guys since you are lighter than use Gs so you will probably be close or faster than 14.

Did you pick up your drags yet?

If you're bone stock, no Z or G should worry about breaking into 13's in California Speedway.

Cal Speedway might be the best we have in SoCal, but its still no "East Coast Track".

I would only worry about a helmet if you have a ton of bolt-ons, DR's, or SC/ST/TT.

I'm really interested to see what the HR's will do, especially if they use DR's or Slicks; with DR's, I'd be worried about a helmet

PS. Its usually very hot around that time of year; that will not help your times nor yourself. So make sure you bring some supplies for cooling yourselfs. Food is also very expensive in there. People, bring chairs!
