someon help me with sub/amp installation on stock HU
hi i'm looking for someone who can install two 10" subs with a two channel amp to the stock HU. i know it won't sound GREAT! but aleast it'll be better than stock (non-bose) the reason i want the stock HU is i want to keep the stock look till i get a good Navi, DVD, touch screen HU for it. probably within a year, but for now i want to install my two subs and amp. i'll have the subs connected to the amp already and the subs box and amp all mounted in place, all i need for for someone who knows what they're doing to come and install the amp to the HU or rear speakers. i don't want to do this myself since i don't want to mess with the electrical part of my car (pain in the *** to fix). of course i would pay you/lunch/beer. i could drive to you place just pm me. thanks

just save more
seriously it is going to cost you almost less money and defenetly less hassle in geting an after market HU instead of using the stock one.
do it correct the first time.
instead of geting the box subs and amp first why not just get the HU you want first?

^ I already have the subs and amp (both are eclipse) i don't like the way an aftermarket HU looks in the Z unless it's a full touch screen. which run $700 plus ( i can't afford that right now) so i just want a better sounding system till i save enough money to do it right. around 1500 bucks. i have read all the other post about subs/ amp on the stock HU and i know it's not the best but i could live with that till i get something better.
the only thing i have to pay for is the cost of installation. i have the box, subs, amp, and wires.

You need a PAC-OEM Adapter to install the Amp. I just purchased 1 from a fellow Z member here. Otherwise you will never be able to install the amp. The converter takes the lines from the old amp and allows you to channel that into RC Jacks for easy install of the AMP. Personally I like the Stock HU as well and keeping it that way as it looks clean. Would like to just get 2 tens under the strut bar.

No offense to the Mr X in this thread, but there is another "Mr X" on this forum who did my install (See my thread in the audio section).
I'll PM you his e-mail address. You will be very happy with his work.
