Default PIX from 6/10/07 94 east run to campo

These are pics from the last minute run that was set up at the last minute!
https://my350z.com/forum/southern-california/278089-cruise-tomorrow.html

Well for the first time everyone that said that where going to go acually showed up! which is rare in all meet ups!

10 am we meet up at the Rancho Sandiego Petter Pippers Pizza. We talked and looked at each others cars and finalized the plans for the short trip. 11 am we left up the mountain on the 94 east.

We did some easy crusing and lots of fast turns and loooooong straightaways. Top speed was about 95-100mphs and tight cornerings and long banked turns at about 40-55mphs. Jons elise was like a train on tracks and Johns TT Z was a beast on the straights.

We stopped and ate in a japanese place in Alpine and sat and talked and shared stories and laughs. In all I had great time and it was an easy laid back trip with great guys. it all ended at 1 45 pm and it was really nice.

People who attended
1.USN HM 350Z (showed me the meaning of pure power on the straight)
2.John (showed me that an elise is a train on tracks in cornering)
3.MustGoFastR ( showed me that a simple upgraded Z is bad *** and that a final drive makes a diference)
4.Chuquison (showed everyone how much of a dork I am and how stock my z is lol)

meet up at rancho sandiego

We stopped at a local town called barrett

we stopped at a rest stop

Both named John boths MODS and booth fun guys!

Great pics! Trip was a blast. Car ran and handled great, though I did find one little issue when I got home and was cleaning up: my VS V1 rear skirt started to melt right above the exhaust tips! I had never driven the car as far or as hard since I finished it up, so didn't have any issues until now. Guess I'll have to drop the exhaust, touch up the skirt and see if I can bend the hangers down to get the tips a bit lower to hopefully prevent it from getting worse next time. Oh well, not bad for a shakedown run if that's my only issue, lol. Can't wait for the next one on the 23rd!

That's nice. I was thinking about getting the ings n-spec rear in the future, but that ings lx rear looks really good with the center painted black.

Oh, is it? I'll have to check it out closer next time. Most molded ones I see completely mold in the top edge so it's flush with the bumper, but that's sweet if yours is molded to keep that edge and make it look like a character line in a one-piece bumper.

So I'm assuming this is the same John that totalled his Z at the track a while back? Nice choice in the Lotus.

Everybody had a nice car today - had a blast with the Z guys, and even though I love my new toy, I was reminded why I miss the Z...

You can find a stock 05 with ~10K miles for ~$36.5K if you shop around. I will emphasize that this car isn't for most people as it's a purists car. It is stiff, uncomfortable, completely impractical - and it being British it comes with quarks that will make many go crazy...

I don't remember the Lotus rear bumper looking like that....is it aftermarket?

Any other VA transplants there?
