? amg's dont hold their value. 40k for a 04 clk55 is a good price but not something ridiculously low.

Ok. I'm just in the market of 2003-2004 M3 / C-AMG / and I don't usually see a CLK55 hit that low.

Thats about how much they are. Remember its a 04', that means its not a 469hp supercharged version.

CPO M3's will be around that maybe a bit more but much less mileage. Make sure to get a CPO M3 because anything less will have too many problems.
