I purchased the extended warranty when I bought my Z. At the time, I was mostly concerned with the tranny life.

I did then cancelled it when I found out the 3 year was bumper to bumper but the powertrain was still a 5 year warranty.

I purchased an extended warranty at the time of purchase, but I want to go FI within a year or so. Can I still cancel the warranty, since I will end up voiding it anyways.

At the time of my purchase, it was about ~$1,000 for the 5 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty.

You figure that if the engine blew or the tranny went out, the $1,000 over a 5 year period or 100k miles look pretty low compared to how much it cost to replace those items.

Therefore, I'm making every effort to use that warranty. Life is too short to be concerned about stuff that breaks.
