Default STEREO SHOPS SO CAL - Where did you go

Boys and Girls the time has come for me to ditch my BOSE ( Buy Other Stereo Equipment ). The problem I am facing is the ease of damaging my passenger door handle when removing the door panel. I need a shop who has worked on a Z and does excellent work. I am not looking for the loudest and extreme bass, I have swapped the headunit with a alpine but the entire BLOSE sucks ***** and the alpine headunit can only do so much. I simply need a better amp and speakers to compliment my stereo.........So please recommend me somewhere to go who has experience on a Z.

Thanks
Ed

I will be selling a 5 channel DLS amp, 10" sub and custom sidebox enclosure in a bit. May save you some $$ off of retail. I can also recommend someone to install the amp... although he is in OC so it may be bit of a drive for you.

Hmmmm How soon do you think you will ditch your equipment. OC is not far at all and I am in the area all the time. Keep me posted DV on this and maybe I can pick up your equipment.

Great prices at most stores in that area. Beware of refurbished items.

Ed 718: The door panels are not very difficult removing when you take your time. I have removed the passenger side 3-4 times without damaging the silver portion of the handel. I need a new amp and I will be removing the panels prior to heading to the shop. The wiring for these speakers are a PITA!

I installed my audio/video, speakers, amps and crossovers on my Z. What are you planning on changing or installing. The Z is the worst to date for speaker installs. To change the rear speakers all black paneling, center console, glove box, seat bealts, seats, metal covers need to be removed. Front speakers are not to bad, but some speakers require spacers and/or special screws.

Let me know what your planning and I will help you any way I can, but considering your so finicky about your ride, I will make you sign a waiver! Depending what your planning to install, it may not be worth our time since it took me 18 hours to install the above!

Everything there is Non Authorized product. Most of it is also B-Stock as already mentioned. Buyer Beware of that place.

I went to Street Sound Plus in North Hills.
They're a bit pricy but they do some amazing work.
They have worked on several Z's including complete custom jobs for show cars.
You can check out their installs here:

I had them gut out my spare and trunk area and create a custom setup
where my sub is in the spare well.

Honestly, I could do it now.... I'll contact you via PM. The amp and sub are only a few months old bought from Bing at Simplicity and the sidebox sub enclosure is a custom box built by Dom to match the sub's requirements. Take a look at my original install Mr X (Dom) did to give you an idea of his work. He is in the Yorba Linda/ Anaheim Heights area.
