i respect them for being hustlers but their customer service sucks. they tried numerous times to pull the wool over my eyes about random things. i'm a girl and i went in with my mom [who's a financial whiz] and they tried SO MANY different tricks to up the final price, it was ridiculous. plus they had some ratty old [seriously, they looked beat up and used] splash guards on my car, and it took them a month to order the replacements and get them on my car... never called back when the order finally came in, i had to call them, etc etc.
tried to sell me the car with a small dent in the front bumper. when i pointed it out to them during the final vehicle inspection [yes, after i signed the papers] the salesman had the nerve to tell me it won't matter because my front plate would cover it anyway. couldn't believe he said that.. i almost told him off. they ended up fixing it [].
their service dept sucks ***.
i've personally been witness to their employees driving/parking so badly and tightly that they've scraped [literally] by other cars, bumped into them, etc etc. they have so many cars on the lot and near the service dept, you're asking for dents and scrapes if you take your car to them. behind the service area is a VERY narrow alley in which they have to drive the cars through..it's where you bring your car in through, where they wash the cars at, hell, i've seen cars being serviced in the alley. it's a nightmare.

I too purchased from Universal and do not recomend it. I got a really good price because there was some errors in my financial work so they either met my needs from then, or they had to take back a car with 1500 miles on it already and give me a full refund.

i ended up getting my 07 base model Z for $26,200

some other complains that i didnt want to deal with because i was too excited to take my car home was-my car already had 80 miles on it.(would have been nice to know it had already gone on 10 test drives probably)

-my salesmen could BARELY speak english.(she was very nice though)

my advice, just go to West Covina. They hook up the forum members with prices near invoice and their service is unbeatable.

Nice pickup. Did that thing have a salvage title by chance?

Yep sure does, the only bad thing about it, but hey for an 05 with only 21K miles on it, it was a great deal do me, already had the kit and rims, just missing a few things but the car is fully built up now so it lacks nothing. with the overall fixups it came to a total of around 15k for the 2005 which is a pretty good deal considering an 05 can run in the mid 20K range

I have owned 3 other salvage titled cars and had no issues with any of them.
-Built up a salvage title Toyota MR2 turbo into a widebody with Mazda RX-7 headlight conversion and painted it 350Z daytona blue.

Ain't nothin wrong with a salvage title car, at least none that I ever bought

Purchased my '07 Touring 6 spd a month ago from Quality Nissan in Temecula for $200 over invoice. I paid $2,900. less out the door than I paid for my '03 Touring 6 spd in August '02. That's what happens when you pay sticker +$300 for one of the first pre-order Z's to hit the street and a Z five years later when their relatively common. Gil there helped me first through the internet then phone. Negoiated the price before we got there and was in-and-out in 1.5 hours.

By the way out the door prices don't mean much unless you say what options you got with the car.

OP, whatever you do, please do me a favor and do not buy from Buena Park or Cerritos nissan.

Buena Park scratched the paint on my car (down to the metal) and wouldn't take blame for it. Saying there is no way it was their fault and wouldn't help me.

Cerritos Nissan were a bunch of jerks when i went shopping for my car. The sales manager treated me like i was some 15 year old kid and was sure that i couldn't affoard the car. At one point he even laughed in my face.(not joking)

i left that dealership and went straight to another and bought my car within a few hours.
