Default My first dyno

Took my car to Precision Z today for my lsd install and dyno. Car dynoed at 241rwhp in 5th gear with only a K&N dropin, crawford catted downpipes and nismo exhaust. Not too shabby. But now I want more. haha. Oh and disregard my name. I have an 06. BTW can a mod change it from 07 to 06?

That is very low for a 07 Z. What kind of Dyno was this? The 07s are dynoing in the 270 range.

Edit: Sorry just noticed you said you had a 06. That is about on par with a 06 depending on a dyno. My 05 G35 dynoed stock 253 hp and 230 tq.

Probably because the REV-UPs were overated.

But also they may have been on the older HP scale system. Manufactures have to the HP now with the new system and it requires manufactures to make a lot more hp in their cars to get over the bump from the old numbers.

Some didn't care, like the Acura TL. It went down like 15 hp.

Thats what I thought. I didn't think they 60whp could be lost all in the powertrain. They dynoed an 03 auto and it only came out to 198whp. How much does the plenum spacer add?

Anywhere from 6-10whp.
I thought Dynapack reads higher than Dynojet since it's chassis dynamometer???

From what I have seen they are lower. Sometimes even 15whp lower compared with the mustang dyno. My Z is basically stock. But its right around where I thought.

Usually goes like this:

Highest to lowest for numbers:

Dynopack
Dynojet
Mustang Dyno

Mustang reads the highest.
Dynapack reads higher than Dynojet or Dyno Dynamics because it eliminates the unsprung weight.

I'm just letting you know..06s typically dyno around 245whp on Dynojet, and of course even higher on Dynapack.

Mustang dyno's the lowest of all three. Dynapack dynos the highest. My Z dynoed 261 dynojet. On a dynapack I would have been close to 280. IMO your numbers seem really low. But thats all depending on the dyno. No two dynos will be exactly the same.
