Default Reputable repair shop in west LA?

Hey all. I checked the SoCal shops thread but couldn't really find anything there that helped. I'm looking for a shop in the Santa Monica/West LA area. It's a really simple repair - replacing the oxygen sensor which attaches to the catalytic converter. I got quotes from dealers but the price their asking seems a bit outrageous for the work being done ($400 - $500 including the part). So I'm looking for a regular old shop that does quality work on 350s and won't tack on a lot of "extra" fees. Any suggestions are much appreciated!

buy the part from Performance Nissan or West Covina and do the install urself.

22mm wrench or 22mm o2 sensor socket attachment and a breaker part to get it off.

its really not that hard.

how come you have to replace the o2 sensor already?

the o2 sensors on the stockcats are pretty easy to get to- they unhook at the base of the transmission.

if you look toward the right of the picture,
you'll see two white wires. and a blue and green connectors. these are the passengerside & driverside (respectively) o2 sensors on the catalytic converters. remember you're looking up so its reversed.

most likely the reflector probably just pulled the cable and snapped it. you might be able to resplice it unless you know for a fact that it's dead.

another shot (driver cat)

good luck. its really not that bad. just since its one the bottom of the car, and its probably rusted on there, so i would use liquid wrench or something similar to get it loose before applying elbow grease to wrench it off.
