chill out, cause it's causing friction, which we don't need.

the tuning shops had it for a while and look what happened there: BIG flame wars.

Function:tuned got it
Performance Factory got it
MRC got it
Forged Performance got it
GTM got it

ALL because of their customers feeling the need to poke and prod... well not JUST because of

I like all dealerships... just because performance Nissan went through some troubled times doesn't mean they didn't ever help out the community just like I'm sure WCN might have a bad couple months sometime down the road if half their staff quits or something.
Well how do you think performance nissan got started? Or forged performance? They need to have posts or threads to get things started or else their name will never get out there. If you don't know about a certain dealer then you will never get your vehicle serviced there and that is the point they are trying to make. I don't think anybody's intentions are to badmouth anyone here. I do however notice that it got a bit out of hand where every thread involved either/or dealership. lol

Nah, not pissed at all... you have your views and I have mine. We're both not going to budge either way so... I'll just leave at that.

By the way, I don't appreciate your verbal jabs even if they're meant to be humorous. I never brought it to that level with your personal info. I've met many good people on this forum and they can vouch for my character. Thanks.

maybe just a single thread people can add to with experiences that is moderated to remove junk? I don't see everyone needing to create a thread about the same place.

I agree shops need promotion, but word of mouth and thier own threads where customers comment is more than enough.

I wasn't attacking your character, just hoping you would say some funny stuff back.

My apologies for offending you. I certainly didn't mean to be a troll.

I've been observing what was going on on the thread. I am glad to see you guys make the peace. My350z is about enthusiast and our great cars. Lets not forget that. Yes there are all different levels of cars. We have people without any mods, people that have the $$ to do mods, people that have sponsors to do mods, and people that have both $$ and sponsors to do mods. But the bottom line is they are all enthusiast. They all the love the "Z". My job is to support my sponsors in every which I can because I chose their product/service for my car. I agree that Mel (Vertex350) is a genuine enthusiast, no ulterior motives from him. The same for me and all the my350z community. It just that people go about in different ways to do mods to their cars.

I will always support West Covina Nissan. I went to Performance and they wouldn't give me the time of day when I went to buy my Z two months ago. They literally laughed me out of the lobby. West Covina did everything to get my deal done and get me financed. Their motto of No Limits starts with sales and filters to all the other departments. I got sponsored by them after I bought the car. So you better believe my threads and posts whenever appropriate will show support for West Covina Nissan. So everyone has opinions and the dealership they like, now you know my opinion.

it's one thing to get paid to brag for a shop and then another thing to do it because you had a good experience.

Seriously from my end, I WISH someone had posted a thread for the shop by my house! Then I wouldn't have driven through 40 miles of traffic to WCN for a job I was unsatisfied with and would have saved an extra day of the car in the shop again and another $300 by going to the shop down the road that would have done the job right.

So posting up for a shop whenever satisfied seems fine to me. If someone wants to post up let em post, but post whoring 50 times in the same damn thread is the kind of **** that pisses me off!

Point taken and understood. Everyone will always have different experiences with everything in life, dealerships included. Threads/Posts are freedom of speech and with freedom of speechand other liberties we have comes those that abuse it. Hopefully this thread has calm things down and open some eyes.

I absolutely agree with you. I've suggested the same (but not in so many words) solution - consolidate these WCN or Performance threads. I find nothing wrong with sharing a good/bad experience with any vendor because, let's face it, word-of-mouth advertisement is a very powerful tool.

+2. All around nice guy (and with me saying so, he might find it in his heart to pick up my tab at the next food meet... ).
