My girl took my car to the carwash in an attempt to do something nice for me, and now the lips of my Volks are stained with that rainbow color. If there's some rainbowing on the lips, are they just totally ruined or what? I don't have money to buy brand new rims because of this, so what can I do to get that rainbow look out or at least minimize it? I live in OC. Are there any detailing places or wheel specialists nearby that can help me with this problem or is it better to look for a DIY solution?

If I'm not mistaken a good detailer should be able to get it out...if not you might be s.o.l. and need to get the lips repolished...worst case scenario is that you need to replace the lip...I could be totally off though...

that effect is due to a chemical reaction between whatever chemical was used, and the clearcoat of the wheel.
You cannot just simply buff or fix the lip since it's got a clear coat finish, buffing it will burn the clear more.
Just an FYI
