Do people think this is the best way to go? I only ask this b/c the 405 is not the most convenient for everybody - MM is really off the 5.

For Kaiser and I, I know that the 405 N to the 5 N makes the most sense, so we can meet up around the 101/405 intersection and caravan. But for other people, it may be a pain. I don't know if anybody is coming from Orange County (grayfox, I don't know how you would get to MM from SB/Riverside) - but OC people would go straight up the 5. THOUGHTS on where to meet????

If we meet at MM itself, it has to be in the MORNING. Cell phone #'s should all be exchanged so we know where people are and how long to wait if they aren't coming.

Hrm, yeah, I didn't think about that. Well, in any case, we should try to get to the park for opening, and try to hit the rides that'll have long lines EARLY. Only hicup there is rush hour traffic, which actually isn't too bad going north into the valley in the morning. (on the 405 at least).

Well, I'm pretty sure I can get the minivan for this outting so if anyone in the SGV area wants to hitch a ride, I'm down to drive em. And if we're meeting at the 405/101 section, I can just give you and Mike a ride too Iris.

I would normally take the 210 to the 5 - but I'd be happy to meet up with you guys somewhere nearer the park; OC, however, it is not on the way. But 101/5/405 whatever, I can do - I could even take the 60 or the 10* in to the 405 if that works better.

I'm flexible - a holiday day in the middle of the week! =)

*the 10 is teh suck in the morning...the 210 is 6 lanes of glistening empty freeway =)

Hahaha, I haven't heard THE SUCK for the longest time.

What you can do is take the 210 which turns into the 134 which turns into the 101 if that's better for you...

So what I'm hearing is that maybe 4 of us want to meet up before and caravan to MM? Mr B, I'm not sure how we can carpool unless you come to our place (we're 3 miles off the 101 on Laurel Canyon so it's not too bad) - then we can either take the minivan or our Highlander.

1. kaiser
2. me and mike (LOL, i should count him as a separate person)
3. mr B
4. grayfox

Okay, now the question is - what time does the park open????

ANOTHER BAD THING - traffic will make meeting times, etc., very unpredictable. Not sure how to deal with that except to exchange cells.

I'll think about a place to meet up at the 101/405.

Well, if we only end up with 5 people that day, I can meet you at your place and just hitch a ride in your highlander, right? But if not, I'll try to sneak away the van and we can just all take that. It doesn't matter too much to me. I just know it's going to be hooooootttttt there. No pictures please. I've already got enough pictures of me tomato red on this forum.

B-fly and I are wondering what time you guys are going to leave for the park. She gets off 9 and by the time she gets to my place, I'll assume it'll be a little before 10ish due to traffic. So shall we leave ourselves and meet you at the park cuz driving over to the 101/405 area will probably be another hour.

Looks like I missed the ticket buy in day, but I'm still interested. I can't say it's 100%, maybe more like 75% now. I'm trying to arrange a trip to UCSD to look around for future employment sometime next week and it might end up being Thursday. Unfortunately, work in this case has to come before play.

Yes Iris, I got the day off!!! Woohoo! Anyway, I dropped my summer class, so I can leave earlier than that if necessary. Can't wait!

Alright, so is the final plan to meet at the park at 11 am? Should we all just meet at the entrance area? I personally would rather meet just before opening, but I can understand that that might be a pain in the *** for some people coming from far away to get there before 10, so no biggie if noone wants to meet for opening. But we should definitely nail down what time, and where.

I would also rather meet before the park opens - I believe in the earlier the better, then RUN for the COASTER you WANT!!

But I'm open to whatever people want -- I just said 11 am b/c of far away people.

Mr. B??

B fly??

Gray fox??

Thoughts on TIME please.

Is Rouxeny out? I also haven't heard from zzzyyaa in awhile??

zzzyyaa has his own tickets I think, so we just need to get his cell phone number, so we can get in touch and meet up.

My vote would be to try to get there between 9:30 and 10, and all go in right when the park opens at 10.

We should all get each others' cell phone numbers. Should we all pm them to one person, and have that person pm them to everyone else? I say that only cause I'm sure not everyone (including myself) wants to post their cell on the forum.
