Default Live from M-Workz : Suspension Tuning!!!

Posting live from M-Workz in Gardena...

Yeah..so after reading reviews from Cheston (chebosto) and Andy (andy@performance) about Steve Mitchell and his company M-Workz, I made an appt to get my G35 re-aligned and corner balanced.

So here I am today, 95 miles later, hanging out at M-Workz. They have wireless internet to help the time past by.

Steve said it'll take about 4 hrs or so to get everything done. Looking to get about -1.5 degree of camber both front and rear since the car will mostly be a street car. After the corner balancing, I swill finally know how much my car weighs.

Given a stock G35 weighs in at 3435, I'd imagine my car will tip the scale at over 3600 lbs without driver.

Anyways...i'll post a further review when everything is done.

1 rWHP for every lb of car. that's a bad ratio....

hmmm...should i try to lose weight or just build my engine

That is not a bad price.

Man the Z's are little piggies though. Wish there was a way to put it on a diet diy style.

sorry...must have misplaced a zero somewhere

power:weight = 1:10

that makes more sense

HKS RS. With my aggressive offset and tires....we're gonna run -2.3 camber all the way around (should not have bought these expensive a$$ michelin's)

what's cool is that all the adjustments are done manually. Those use to the Hunter alignment machines and computer generated alignments may be in for a surprise.

taking it back old school:

final numbers:

weight distribution front to rear: 53/47

alignment to whatever spec you want: $80
corner balancing: $220
taking an offramp at 50 mph vs 35 mph: priceless

I just want to confirm, corner balancing only works with coilovers, right?

What about lowering springs?

thanks!

You cannot corner balance with just lowering springs.
